The Restaurant Weeken exist for restaurants that want to promote themselves by offering a surprise menu featuring a snapshot of their best dishes. We were never disappointed over the years and went back to most of the restaurants we tried for many more visits. Most restaurant pull out a leg to win over as many new customers as possibe, but what we experienced at Satchmo was a bad joke. The service is super slow and basically non-existant, the music is terrible and too loud, the place itself too dark for daytime lunches, the table is shaking every time you pick up your glass. Nobody cares! By far the worst however was the food, if you can call it that. They only serve a ton of bread in different variations. Bread for starter, Sandwich for main. The actual ingredients: lobster or rib-eye steak is so tiny you cannot even see or taste it. Besides the "menu" is not innovative but boring! We were so put off that we did not even wait for the desert, which was suppose to be cheesecake. Not that the waiter cared or asked why we are not finishing the 3 courses. We left still hungry and annoyed 😒. Rising star surprise menu? We'll, yeah, huge surprise: half a star worth - never again, can NOT recommend!

Leuk restaurant met een mooi menu. Half uurtje vroeger was geen probleem. Goede wijnkeuzes en advies.
