Description
In the middle of the Hofstad, steps away from the Binnenhof and Noordeinde Palace, you will find the fantastic restaurant Calla's *. Quality and taste are of paramount importance here.
At the urban restaurant Calla's *, great value is placed on regional products. Many of the fresh vegetables and herbs come from the own vegetable garden 'Laantje Voorham'. The vegetable garden is hidden in the greenery of Wassenaar and has a special cultivation plan to provide the various crops for the kitchen of Callas * during the different seasons.

Heel erg leuk dat Callas meedoet met deze actie en niet de kwaliteit aanpast.
Wat een heel opvallend en zeer gewaardeerd detail was, was de muziek, hip trendy, maar niet te aanwezig. Heel erg ontspannen.
Eten wijncombinatie helemaal top en de bediening was heel ontspannen en had zichtbaar plezier in het werk, hetgeen het verblijf voor ons nog verder veraangenaamde.
Complimenten!!
the second course was a little creamy (some kind of cheese cream with scallops) but other than that, fantastic!

we hebben heel plezierig en goed geluncht bij Calla's en vonden het visgerecht en met name het het vervangende vis-hoofdgerecht (ipv hert) voor één van ons uitstekend, het dessert heel goed en de friandises ook.
er was nogal vaak parmezaanse kaas gebruikt in de amuses en het voorgerecht (al vinden we kaas lekker) e...
we hebben heel plezierig en goed geluncht bij Calla's en vonden het visgerecht en met name het het vervangende vis-hoofdgerecht (ipv hert) voor één van ons uitstekend, het dessert heel goed en de friandises ook.
er was nogal vaak parmezaanse kaas gebruikt in de amuses en het voorgerecht (al vinden we kaas lekker) en er waren 'marshmellows' in de eerste amuse en de friandises - die waren heerlijk en zijn wat ons betreft een beetje hun signatuur.
het voorgerecht (de scallop tartelette) viel ons wat tegen, misschien ook omdat het in LEKKER 2012 zo bejubeld wordt. de truffel was niet heel geurig en de bodem was vrij droog, maar de crème daarentegen was verrukkelijk.
een min-punt: we zijn geen waterdrinkers en vroegen om een glas (in Den Haag: duin)water. zonder eactie hierop kregen we ieder een glas flessenwater ingeschonken; flessen werden niet per tafel geschonken maar men werd bijgevuld vanuit een centrale tafel, hetgeen wat ons betreft prima is. mijn man is nog eens half bijgevuld maar ik heb geen druppel gedronken:tweeeneenhalf glas Evian water dus voor ons samen en daat moesten we 2x4 euro = 8 euro voor betalen..
ontvangst en service waren uitstekend en wij houden van een strakke inrichting, dus misschien moeten we nog eens teruggaan en dan à la carte eten en geen water bestellen!
