Description
Restaurant DenC in Amsterdam is located near the cozy Rembrandtplein and several theatres. Due to its central location near several theatres (Carré, Kleine Komedie), Restaurant DenC is extremely suitable for a quick dinner prior to a theatre visit.
An evening out in which the senses are stimulated by excellent cuisine, appropriate wine advice, and a very pleasant atmosphere. Service is of paramount importance.
The menu is small, making it easy to make choices. This means that the freshness of the products can also be guaranteed. In this way, French-Mediterranean dishes can be prepared perfectly.
The restaurant has a private dining area for 10 people. Perfect for a business dinner but also for a private dinner where a speech may be given.

Zelden zo lekker eend gegeten in een zeer relaxed restaurant. Het was een zwoele zomeravond en de deuren bij Antoine stonden wagenwijd open. Sfeer was top! Het eten eveneens!

The amuse bouche was a trio of celery soup with pepper foam, bitterball with beans and a marshmellow of green apple with carrot and ginger - delicately balanced. Starter was smoked eel with parsnips & basil, together with a refreshing lime cucumber gel. My husband opted for the slow cooked veal cheeks with artichoke foam which just melts in your mouth and wonderfully paired with a Rhone red - Grozes Hermitage. I had the duck breast with rillete of duck, potato & pumpkin in a fenugreek sauce - this was my 3rd duck breast in 5 days and whilst the duck was a duck, the sauce was complimentary and different. We ended with the heart of peach, sorbet of peach with yoghurt & pistachios. An excellent meal altogether - whilst it rained most heavily on and off throughout the evening. The restaurant was very busy with 2 turns and with almost full house throughout, both servers were stretched and yet always passionately serving almost faultlessly - explaining each dish and pouring the matching wines on the dot. The chef & his assistants must have been really stretched as well whilst the diners were kept warm and cosy with their lovely meals and wine. Thank you, Restaurant Antoine for a really memorable evening in Amsterdam!
