A block away from Amsterdam's Westerpark, you can enjoy the passion for wines at Rayleigh & Ramsay. The name has a special history. Lord Rayleigh & Ramsay are two Scottish chemists from the late 19th century. They discovered the noble gas argon, which is heavier than oxygen. Using this noble gas in our wine bottles seals the wine from oxygen and keeps the wines in top condition. Thanks to their discovery, restaurant Lord Rayleigh & Ramsay always has 100 different bottles of wine on tap that are always ready to drink. The kitchen, however, is not left behind. We werden allerhartelijkst ontvangen, goede uitleg van ons menu, gestart met goede oesters en lekkere champagne, bij elk gerecht een advies van wijnen, maar het is aan jezelf of je die neemt of andere.. keuze uit genoeg wijnen, goede beschrijving erbij. We hebben een heerlijk ontspannen avondje gehad.
Fantastische avond gehad
Geweldige avond gehad. Het eten was superlekker. De spitskool met misoboter, fantastisch. Jens is een leuke gastheer met veel onderkoelde humor. Het concept om zelf je wijntje te tappen vond ik erg geslaagd. We komen zeker terug!
