Eten een heel verrassende mix van smaken en top qua presentatie, personeel geweldig, ambiance aan de Chef's table minder door gekozen meubilair daar, rest van het restaurant was beter gestyled.

2 Ontzettend jonge gasten uit Friesland zijn neergestreken in Dordrecht. Met ondermeer het Cas Spijkers College en Sterklas Amsterdam in zijn binnenzak, slaat de 21 jarige chef(!) Ezzat samen met zijn sous Kaan aan het experimenteren met de kruiden en smaken van hun jeugd, die Egyptisch en Turks zijn. Zelf noemen ze...

Ezzat samen met zijn sous Kaan aan het experimenteren met de kruiden en smaken van hun jeugd, die Egyptisch en Turks zijn. Zelf noemen ze het "Lekker buiten de lijntjes kleuren". Gebaseerd op de moderne Franse keuken, met een presentatie die je vandaag in een Bib of sterrenzaak verwacht, wordt een reeks prachtige borden aan tafel gebracht... tegen alleszins redelijke prijzen. Wij rekenden met 2 personen voor 4 amuses, extra oesters, extra charcuterie en een 4-gangen verrassingsmenu ruim €200 af. Met de auto, dus qua drank bescheiden (4 champagne/wijn, tafelwater, 1 spumante 0.0%, 1 mocktail en 1 espresso).
Is alles perfect? Nee, natuurlijk niet. Dan hadden ze andere prjizen en waren ze allang tegen een officiële erkenning aangelopen. Zijn er combinaties waarvan je nog niet zeker weet of het een blijvertje is? Ook dat. Alleen als je alles zelf maakt, met de specerijen en kruiden-toverdoos en bijbehorende kennis die ze in hun keuken paraat hebben, is elke smaak geprononceerd. Een grote verrassing en een feestje! Reden genoeg om in de lente weer eens terug te gaan.
