Description
Jacob Jan Boerma is at the helm of The White Room team. The team that implements its vision in Amsterdam is led by Chef de Cuisine Tristan de Boer and Maître Bram Hommes. Together with them, Boerma wants to touch a wide audience with a style that is in his heart.
3* Michelin Chef Jacob Jan Boerma, known for 'De Leest***', is at the helm of The White Room team. The experienced Chef de Cuisine Tristan de Boer cooks under his signature. The wonderful ingredients and fresh style of de Boer ensure a perfect combination with the sour flavors and spices that Boerma is known for.
The name The White Room is derived from the historic name 'De Witte Zaal', which was given the space when it opened in 1885. The current restaurant is considered the oldest restaurant in Amsterdam, where original styles are still preserved. Thanks to the refined and modern styling, history and present are seamlessly connected here.
The White Room is part of NH Collection Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky, the first NH Collection hotel of NH Hotel Group in the Netherlands. NH Collection is the upper-upscale brand of NH Hotel Group, in which gastronomy plays a very prominent role.
The restaurant was awarded 1 Michelin star in 2017 and has 15,5 Gault&Millau points.

Er werd die avond fantastisch gekookt en de amuses waren bijzonder lekker. We hadden het white room menu met alleen maar witte gerechten, smaakvol en apart.
De bediening was vriendelijk en kundig. Een puntje van kritiek was wel de opmerking van de bediening toen het lam werd geserveerd en ik vroeg of ik misschie...

Dat past niet bij een restaurant dat de ambities heeft op een hoog culinair niveau te koken, en klinkt ook een beetje komisch.
In het kader van de restaurantweek onwijs genoten van het jubileum(witte)menu. Wat een mooie zaal om in te eten zeg! Met een lekkere champagne begonnen en getracteerd op een vijftal zeer bijzondere amuses bouche. Vooral de paling was zeer bijzonder. Met een lekkere champagne begonnen en getracteerd op een vijftal zeer bijzondere amuses bouche. Vooral de paling was zeer bijzonder. Het menu zelf excellent van smaak, inderdaad zo eel mogelijk wit en prima begeleid door het wijnarrangement. De bediening en het tempo was top. Het enige dat lichtelijk schrikken was, was de rekening, maar dat zal wel typisch Amsterdams zijn. Al met al een topavond!
De zaal is prachtig , bediening uiterst vriendelijk en goed ingespeeld op de klanten.
Duidelijke uitleg over de gerechten en heerlijke wijnen.
Het eten was heerlijk! Heb van iedere dag genoten.
