Geweldig gegeten. Heel leuk gedaan met het afgesproken menu en daarnaast
een keuzemogelijkheid om de specialiteiten van de keuken te kunnen proeven.

Het eten is verrukkelijk en prachtig opgediend. Het wijnarrangement biedt verassende, zeer passende wijnen en goede prijs-kwaliteit. Prima dat men als aperitief ons liet kennis maken met de bubbels van de Kleine Schorre en niet aankwamen met Moet & Chandon. Wel jammer dat standaard bij de kazen rode port wordt geadv...

Wel jammer dat standaard bij de kazen rode port wordt geadviseerd, getuigt niet van creativiteit en past bij een aantal kazen echt niet! Ratafia de Champagne daarentegen is wel orgineel en paste heerlijk bij de kazen.
De bediening is correct en het serveren van de tafel verliep soepel, maar straalt al jaren nog altijd enige arrogantie uit. Dat is mijn voornaamste minpunt. Sommige gasten zullen het "vorstelijk onthaal" noemen, ik persoonlijk vind het nog steeds stijf/formeel. En van enkele sterren restaurants, weet ik dat dit ook echt anders kan.
Wij hebben genoten van al het lekkers en al het moois dat ons werd voorgeschoteld. Werkelijk alles is hier van een zeer hoog niveau.
Aansluitend hebben we overnacht in één van de prima gastenkamers behorend bij het restaurant, inclusief een perfect ontbijt.
