Restaurantweek, dus het restaurant kan ervaren en kritische eters verwachten. Dat is tevens een kans, want mondelinge reclame kan voor extra klandizie zorgen. Bovendien ook een kans om je beste beentje voor te zetten met een standaard menu voor alle restaurantweekgasten. En daarmee heeft De Gouden Leeuw in Bronkhors...

De entree en entourage zijn geweldig. Mooi pand, vriendelijke bediening en (voor mij belangrijk) een prima assortiment lokale bieren op vat en fles. Mooie eetzaal (van de vele die ze hadden), kortom een goede binnenkomer. Zoals bekend een vooraf vastgesteld menu. Het voorgerecht was lekker, goede verse vis, maar niet verrassend. Het hoofdgerecht was onder de maat. Wel veel, maar geregeneerde steak en eendenborstfilet (vooraf gebakken en nagegaard in de stoomoven). Dus geen krokante buitenlaag en het 'vers-klaargemaakt-gevoel'. Zoals ze dat in de UK zeggen: 'Not cooked to order'. Simpel klein beetje salade erbij die ook wat extra aandacht verdiend had. Het nagerecht was niet verkeerd, maar mistte ook een verrassend element.
Kortom een gemiddelde maaltijd voor een te hoge prijs, waarbij vooral aandacht en oog voor detail mistte.
Prachtig bedrijf vriendelijke bediening en ook goed ook! Eten was ook goed alleen na voorgerecht te snel het hoofdgerecht we komen snel weer!!
