Since their menu changes frequently it is difficult to recommend a dish, but when we visited them in January the roe deer fillet stood out. It was well marinated with no trace of gaminess at all. The beets, onions and hazelnuts served alongside were also great complements. We were happy to see them make their own fermented foods such as kimchi and saurkraut and use them generously in their dishes.
Their wine menu covers some of the classic regions with good producers, and minimal markup. I do wish the menu was bigger though, it would then be better suited to pair with the diverse flavors in their dishes.
The atmosphere is cozy and charming, while the cutlery, glassware and tableware are all good quality nothing feels pretentious. It resonates with their goal of providing accessible culinary experience. The staff is helpful and kind, and the service is also very fast, in fact it was so fast at times that we had to ask them to slow down. Overall we really enjoyed our meal at Tommy's and we will be back to try out their new menu!
