A block away from Amsterdam's Westerpark, you can enjoy the passion for wines at Rayleigh & Ramsay. The name has a special history. Lord Rayleigh & Ramsay are two Scottish chemists from the late 19th century. They discovered the noble gas argon, which is heavier than oxygen. Using this noble gas in our wine bottles seals the wine from oxygen and keeps the wines in top condition. Thanks to their discovery, restaurant Lord Rayleigh & Ramsay always has 100 different bottles of wine on tap that are always ready to drink. The kitchen, however, is not left behind.
