First, even though it was clear that we were foreigners and only spoke English, we were initially given a Dutch menu. When we asked for a regular (English) menu, the staff refused, saying that because we had booked the set menu, it was not possible. It was only after repeatedly insisting that they finally provided it.
Second, the service was extremely slow. This was a 3-course meal, yet we had to wait at least 30 minutes between each course. In total, it took over 2 hours just for three dishes. When we were waiting for dessert, we asked if it could be served while we were finishing our main course because we simply could not wait any longer. This request was refused, and we were told we had to finish the main course first. As a result, we had to wait another 30+ minutes, which was very frustrating.
Third, there was an awkward and uncomfortable situation with seating. A neighboring group arrived and wanted to sit at an empty table, but the staff refused without explanation and instead tried to seat them next to us, forcing us to move and make space for them. This was quite inconvenient and unprofessional.
Overall, the combination of poor communication, inflexible service, excessive waiting times, and uncomfortable seating arrangements made for a very unpleasant dining experience. We would not recommend this restaurant based on our visit.
We hebben heerlijk gegeten en bediening was heel aardig en er heerst een rustige sfeer. De muziek was niet te hard. Zeker een reden om nog terug te komen.
