Lekker gegeten,hele fijne bediening. De chef en personeel zijn heel kundig en vriendelijk. Mijn vriendin is Frans en we lunchen en dineren heel vaak in Parijs. Dat is vaak minstens zo goed en flink wat goedkoper. Waarom hotels en restaurants zo duur zijn in Amsterdam(Nederland) is mij een raadsel, , maar Le Hollandais was een een positieve ervaring en zeer gastvrij!
Plezierige sfeer. Prima eten. Voor de vegetariër weinig variatie.

Geen extreme aankleding qua design van het restaurant, juist des te menselijker de benadering. De innemende chef komt zelf(s) aan je tafel voor een korte intro en uitleg, wat erg sympathiek aanvoelt. Gerechten waren mooi en klassiek, wij hadden een 6 gangen menu. De eerste 3 gangen waren subtiel qua frisse zuurtjes en soep, en het echte vuurwerk begon bij gang 4, een perfecte steak tartaar met onder meer truffel erin verwerkt. Daarna een machtige ossenhaas ronde met een rijke roomsaus en smaakvolle groenten. De desserts (altijd belangrijk als slot van de avond) waren ook divers en allemaal top. We kozen de chocolade mouse en de meringue met bosvruchten en een speciale compote. Het hele menu was een uitstekende opbouw via een compleet smaken palet en de geadviseerde rode wijnen bij het hoofdgerecht, zowel de Toscaan als de Bordeaux, waren uitstekend bij die ronde. Kortom, een geslaagde avond en zeker een aanrader.
