From the start I knew this restaurant was going to be impressive; walking down a narrow passageway (located off one of the busiest streets in Amsterdam) we found ourselves at a beautiful building tucked away behind a canal that boarders the Central Station.
After being greeted warmly at the door we were showed to a window table with a lovely view. We were dinning on the restaurant week 3 course lunch deal and it did not disappoint!
The meal started with two surprise tastings that were both thoughtful and well balanced. Then came the entrée, main and dessert - all three were flavorsome and beautifully presented. With an extensive wine list to accompany this menu we were all thoroughly satisfied!
So suffice it to say, we highly recommend De Compagnon!
