Description
Restaurant DenC in Amsterdam is located near the cozy Rembrandtplein and several theatres. Due to its central location near several theatres (Carré, Kleine Komedie), Restaurant DenC is extremely suitable for a quick dinner prior to a theatre visit.
An evening out in which the senses are stimulated by excellent cuisine, appropriate wine advice, and a very pleasant atmosphere. Service is of paramount importance.
The menu is small, making it easy to make choices. This means that the freshness of the products can also be guaranteed. In this way, French-Mediterranean dishes can be prepared perfectly.
The restaurant has a private dining area for 10 people. Perfect for a business dinner but also for a private dinner where a speech may be given.

Afgelopen vrijdag hier gegeten. Per ongeluk vergeten door te geven dat ik geen viseter ben.. Ondanks de vaste kaart (dinerweek) werd dit puik opgelost.
Een smakelijke geitenkaas lolly met een fruitige puree van pompoen ging vooraf. Een lichtvoetige start.

Afgelopen vrijdag hier gegeten. Per ongeluk vergeten door te geven dat ik geen viseter ben.. Ondanks de vaste kaart (dinerweek) werd dit puik opgelost.
Een smakelijke geitenkaas lolly met een fruitige puree van pompoen ging vooraf. Een lichtvoetige start.
Een kopje geweldige creme van sjalotten was het tweede kadootje; ongelofelijk lekker! De essentie van een daverende uiensoep had met een paar happen volledig mijn brein bereikt.
Mijn voorgerecht werd een groot portie steak tartare; mooi vlees, aangekleed met augurkjes, uitjes, eidooier en toast. Lekker fris, heerlijk! Er was geen peper en zout op tafel, maar dit was ook echt niet nodig.
De ossenstaart was een bescheiden portie, maar groots van smaak. Het werd geserveerd met wat kleingesneden groente, paddenstoelen en enkele knoopjes puree. Mooi gedaan. Dit was het best gebalanceerde gerecht.
Het dessert van bloedsinaasappel had al het goede van de vrucht in zich; friszuur, prikkelend. Heel lekker met tegenhangers in chocolade en een bijzonder zachte kardemomsmaak.
Uitgegeten? Nope; er volgde nog een -voor de vrouwen té- uitgebreide chocoladeverwennerij met truffels, een strak gespannen soort kletskop van noten en boter.. Mmm..
We werden vriendelijk geholpen, rijkelijk voorzien van eten. Topavond, en ik kom zeker terug!

Het hoofdgerecht van ossestaart was qua smaak perfect, maar de portie was iets te klein. Het dessert was niet zo bijzonder. Mijn tafelgenoot had kaas besteld, en dat waren 5 ministukjes, dus die was niet erg tevreden.
De bediening is zeer vriendelijk en attent, al was de constante glimlach van de ober overduidelijk nep en ongemeend.
De sfeer tot slot is uitstekend, de inrichting van het restaurant is erg sfeervol en comfortabel.
