Dat je om van een aanbieding gebruik te maken extra vroeg moet komen en snel weer vertrekken, ok. Dat je een vast menu krijgt voorgeschoteld, ok. Dat in de 'bouillabaisse' maar 1 soort vis zat, ok. Geen amuse, ok. Maar dat mijn voorgerecht bestond uit een half, flinterdun plakje pate (plm 4mm dik), dat is beneden ...

Maar dat mijn voorgerecht bestond uit een half, flinterdun plakje pate (plm 4mm dik), dat is beneden peil, temeer daar de Juwelier een Michelinster heeft. Overigens verdiende de kwaliteit van de gerechten inderdaad een ster. Ik ben vele jaren restaurantcriticus geweest van KLM's Holland Herald en Flying Dutchman, dus weet waarover ik het heb. Het halve plakje pate gaf mij het gevoel dat we simpelweg niet welkom waren.
Fijne, ongedwongen sfeer, goede service en heerlijk eten: wat wil je nog meer.
