Description
Bistro La Cloche formerly known as Restaurant De Klok, this iconic establishment is restoring its original name and will now continue as Bistro La Cloche. Since 1975, De Klok has been a staple in Leiden, located in the most charming part of the old town, near the Pieterskerk. The vision was always to embrace a love for classic cuisine and service, offering ‘classics with a twist towards the present’ rather than ‘new with a nod to the past’.
In the beautiful, authentic building, the team continues to passionately and dedicatedly provide a delightful culinary experience. Ik heb afgelopen zaterdag heerlijk gegeten bij De Klok! Mooie, spannende en smaakvolle gerechten en heerlijke wijn. Ook voor mijn tafelgenoot creatieve en lekkere alcoholvrije alternatieven. Gewoon een fijne avond uit waarbij alles klopt.
Wederom genoten van een geweldige sfeer (we zaten deze keer boven) een prachtig diner met mooie bijpassende wijnen. Bij De Klok weet men nog wat gastheerschap betekent.

For the price we paid as part of Restaurant Week (32.50 for 3 courses/42.50 for 4 courses....I think) we give it 5 stars on all levels. We added an extra cheese plate and we were pleased that we did. We were surprised to have to request bread with the cheese plate but we are French so maybe that is a cultural thing! We would need to go normal time to give a true evaluation but we would happily return! Thank you De Klok for a lovely evening.
