Because wow — the portions were so tiny I started checking under my plate to see if the rest of the food had fallen through. That said, the quality of the food? Lovely. The service? Also great. The quantity? Let’s just say it’s the culinary equivalent of someone patting you on the back and saying, “You’ll be fine.”
If you’re trying to lose weight, maintain a diet, or simply want to feel like a giant in a tiny-portion universe, this place deserves a strong recommendation. Who needs willpower when the restaurant provides portion control for you? Would I go again? Sure — but only after a normal dinner.
Ligt in een steegje achter “De Dom” Je moet het weten te zitten. We kregen een hartelijk ontvangst van onze beide gastheren. We hadden ervoor gekozen om de kok de vrije hand te gegeven. Een goede keuze. Elk van de vijf gangen was heerlijk en verrassend. Ook de bijpassende wijnen. Wij hebben dit restaurant genoteerd om nog eens naar terug te gaan.
Een uitstekende avond gehad: leuk attent personeel, erg goed eten, leuke sfeer.

We understand your comments regarding portion size. Your reservation was made through the AMEX DiningCity offer, which includes a complimentary two-course menu. This promotion is intended as an introduction to our cuisine, but for a full fine dining experience, we recommend enjoying four courses or more — something we clearly communicate 3 times: on the DiningCity platform and on the menu presented in the restaurant but also before your visit as a reconfirmation.
Our dining concept is based on refined, seasonal dishes served in multiple courses. Every dish is based on a average grammage per plate and the total amount of food served throughout the evening. Meaning: the portions are smaller when you choose 7, 6, 5 courses to ensure the overall menu remains satisfying without leaving guests rolling out the door ;)
In fact, we often find that guests who initially consider the full seven-course menu sometimes choose to return to six courses simply because they feel they have already enjoyed plenty. This reflects that the overall quantity we serve is more than sufficient for guests.
We regret this detail on the menu, website and menu seems to have been missed: "For a satisfying and complete dining experience we recommend a minimum of 4 courses. Please find attached a PDF with the options of our menu.
We’re sorry to hear the two-course experience did not fully match your expectations in terms of quantity. But we are happy for your feedback and hope we may welcome you again — perhaps for our full Chef’s Menu — to experience Florent at its best. Or choose from our a la carte menu.
